*Future Frontier BBS Shutdown*

    Recently I thought about the idea of putting my BBS on a website.  I
maybe doing this is time permits, thought I mention it.

    Well, I need to address something about the shutdown of my BBS.  I
have gotten alot of emails from people asking about why I did not get
many callers and if that was the main reason.  I will clarify.  Yes,
that was a reason, however, additionally I ran out of time in my life
that I could devote to running the BBS like I think it should be run. 
Rather that be a Sysop who never updates his BBS and leaves it to die, I
decided to shut it down.  Running a BBS and promoting takes time, and
with the changes in priorities in my life (mainly, wife, 2 year old son,
and one on the way); I had to make a choice.  I don't rule out the
option of coming back into the BBS scene.  Right now this was the
decision I made.  I will still be in the scene via my Image Offline
Reader.  Joe Commodore of Silicon Realms is taking over network
promotion.  The New Network for Image BBS will be called " ImageNet ". 
Thanks for all your support.  One more thing that I will be doing is
posting all the Image BBS mods for version 1.2a on a website designed
for Image BBS.  This site will be Image2000 only, but I have another
site location for the rest of the Image BBS mods.  Look for it soon.

Hello Commodore Diehards,

 

    This has been a tough decision for me to do.  I have thought long
and hard about this, and I am sorry to report that I will be shutting
down my BBS on August 1st, 2000 at 12:01am.  Both the sysop of Castle
Royale and me are closing the doors at the same time.  This will also
shutdown the remaining members of Future Net. A network that was
dedicated to bringing you the best in networked BBSes.

    After having a BBS up and running for 11 years, it leaves a empty
spot.  My main reason for the shutdown was the lack of callers when I
moved from the 360-384-4704 number to my new place at 360-332-3335.  My
caller rate dropped to nothing.

    One thing is for sure, I still plan to release my beta version of
Image 2000 for you all and to put up everything I have for Image BBS on
this website.  I fill it is the least I can do so people can get
everything for Image BBS.  Check the Image2000 Updates

    You may see some changes to the website as I try to organize the
files for downloading.  Thank you for all your support in the past and
wish the best for all those who will continue to run their Image BBSes.
